Nina Simone - Blackbird

Image
Freedom is as cheap as air To y’all tender little birds You fly as soon as you are cracked To a place mother never took you Though your wings are still weak But divinity will protect you from danger And even after you've flew beyond your strength You are still better off any fowl on ground For you've felt the breeze from the top And to my tender little bird If you're caught in the trap of mankind Challenge your strength and fly higher Never compromise in front of weapons.  And make sure you fly before you fall

My Africa

Image
What path do we tread? What lesson do we learned? What pleasure do we gain? From the death of our brothers, People we walk in the dark together. If not for ignorance, And insensitive belligerence, Why should I spill a blood? Of my siblings because of envy. We used to be friends Through the hard times. Let's write a history With love and peace, The heroism of the past Displayed to build today. Let's walk on the path Laid by our fathers For a black is sane To rule and lead his folk Shall we fight our contempt, Prac tice love in hope, Whether in South or west, Shall we understand we're one. Let's tread gently To the mountain built With sweat and pain Of men with brains. Africa is one Irrespective of  tongues, Our color might differs but collectively we're blacks. Let's uphold our pride In the unity built with trust Our fathers suffered a great deal For us to survive today. Let's open our arm To embrace...

THE GOLDEN PEARL

In the land where pride was a culture and glittering, their elegance existed a golden pearl. Since dreams were associated with children, the little pearl was hungry and curios to search for adventure and secret of the world. Her mother told her not to be in rush as the world, in the meantime, would reveal itself to her. One day, the powerful current of the river moved them to the most dangerous point in their environment: the tip of the river. The little pearl saw from afar a fierce fire burning so high. She asked her mother what it was and her mother said to her, "That is the messiah of every Gold." If you want to experience the usefulness of your existence, you must be picked by a hand and be willing to dance through that fire" "The process of transformation is quite painful and terrible however, if you want to unleash the essence of your beauty,  you must surrender yourself to this ritual." The young pearl, after the day she saw...

Take risk and trust your ability

Your instinct is your closest god. whenever your mind is telling you to shoot amidst resonated echoed voices telling you not to, just go by your inner voice. trust your mind. you will get instructions putting you back in discovering your talent, however, you still have to think beyond the box result won't come if you can not take advantage of the unsaid words of instructions. Train your mind to take risk. While it is tasking, it is as well rewarding. And always fight till the end for your victory to be invaluably incredible. There is no limit to what you can achieve. hashtag

MOTHER

I know a woman who started her life with a basket of tomatoes. she's a literati with no formal education yet, she earned a certificate of excellence in leadership. she's found worthy in both learning and character. she doesn't wear suit but her cloth is a drape of sacrifice and perspiration. I know a woman that wasn't like other women. she's just herself and  simply symbolic. she's the woman in all women and belongs to everybody. I know a woman, not just a woman but a woman that gave birth to all women. she is the reason humans multiply. We all call her generically a woman but her essence in life named her MOTHER .

Evil wants Good to prevail

It is paradoxical, placing evil and good on the same page of life book. But, it can be as much interesting, experiencing an event that hasn't happened ever since the creation  of mankind, hence; Evil wants good to prevail. This same way we have some blessings disguised as evil, do we also have some evils disguised as good. For the good that causes evil is tantamount to evil while the evil that causes good is equal to good. All things being unchanged. I had read a fascinating story about the Persian poet, Rumi que Mo'avia, the first of the Omniad caliphs and Lucifer in the book entitled Like the Flowing River by Paolo Coelho. Below is the extracts from Like the Flowing River  which we can learn from. One day, the Persian poet Rumi que Mo'avia, the first of the Omniad caliphs, was sleeping in his palace when he was woken up by a strange man. 'Who are you?' he asked. 'I am Lucifer,' came the reply. 'And what do you want?' 'It is the hour ...

Interaction with the audience.

Do we have to back off from what is right because it is hard? Do we have to deviate from our heart desire because it appears infeasible. What  do we need to do when we are in the state of confusion. I need to recollect how we are raised. Oh! I can only recall how I was raised. Why should we believe others definition about us? For the positive ones, we can work on them and for the otherwise, we shall ignore them. Life isn't about what you do the same. It's about what you do differently. Do you believe that challenging the status quo would make a world a better place? Or perhaps, living by the rules is what will make do? You can drop your opinions. Thanks.

Race is not biology

Image
The class struggle between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat is a politics beyond natural affiliations only. It goes beyond a mere racial challenges between the upper class and the lower class. However, it is a struggle that cannot be changed even if we have an angelic intervention. As humans, wherever we belong to is our identity which tell people more about us than words. If you are a black, beyond what you posses as quality, your colour will be the first indicator of where you belong. It is an obvious fact that cannot be shielded with any veil. Instead of us to concentrate more on the biodiversity among the elements in the world, we were struck in the air of arrogance and selfishness - discriminating people by creating segregation through language, dressing, food and belief, ignoring that the universe has its own language. Life is becoming less vivacious the more we subject our attitude to favour some group of people and disobliged others. If truly we want the world to be...

The torture

In the silence of your pain Was an echo of travails. So bright and loud Making your emotion beclouded Beneath your posture of calm Lies a furnace of clime You're a victim of love An innocent in the dungeon of torture In the pool of your tears Where you swim in fears. Your body thaw into vapor And you were swept away from yourself. The pain cooked by lies Was delectably served with spice. I watched you take every stroke Of cane that wouldn't be revoked And why were you tortured? So blank, you couldn't measure The reason why pain had chosen you Making your skin the page of sorrow. Your fate isn't natural Even love can be irrational. You'd followed the route of salvation  Your stubborn hope could you redemption  For the beauty of race Which you'd ran with little pace. Your life's hook in a crevice Of two walls in your dream edifice. You're the remain of ancestral pain Where color suffice you hunger Your name's littl...

Africa

Our Africa The home of rubies Where everyone would wish to lobby. We are the conquerors Because we survived our stained past. All the chains adorned on our ancestor Had been turned jewelry of honour. Beneath our Stygian complexion Lies uncanny qualities and perfection. We are the soldiers of light With our crest from a victorious fight. In our diversity Buttoned multi diversity Myriads ethnicity Yet we are still a singular city Is our history not one? The cracks of whip and hunger. And now that we're achiever Time had favored us. From the mountains in west To the rivers in the east We'd see the footsteps of our fathers Towards freedom and existence Through the south and north We'd stand to correct our past faults We're the remnants of the conquered greatness Exploited by intruders. Our land is enriched and blessed Fertile and hidden beneath gold We are Africans We are the soldiers of light Oh my Africa!  The outcome of strength and per...

Politics

A game without scrupulous agenda Where the truth is hidden beneath propaganda An avenue of power tussle Where hands meet in the pot soup An abyss of moral peak Through which our economy leaks It only favors the beasts While the masses income decrease Employment is now a platitude Insecurity topple in multitude Youths mortality becomes a certitude And our money is spent on barbecue Education suffers leprosy Less rationality, more lunacy The youths clamoring for change Their future captured in a cage In the echelon of cruelty Politics ranks high in popularity The facade of multidimensional issues And, background of societal evils Olawale Abdulsalam ©2018

A sacred beauty Maiden of unique quality.. The ocean of wonder Magically drowning men into a blunder Tenderly innocent She's awesomely magnificent Within her closed lips Enclosed resonant quips Oh the goddess of love Calmly looking hot Her cheek, soft like butter Her smile makes frown creatively murdered In her angelic voice Lies a command with poise.. She's a perfect distraction A route of absolute satisfaction. The wave of soothing ambiance That casts boredom into abeyance.. In her soft language of love credence outrightly billows Elegant beyond the northern walls Her smile is my clarion call.. Oh! my beloved sister, A classic rose in the summer. Olawale Abdulsalam

Acrimony

Image
In the battle of life Contains love and rage. Story of a morning generous,  And disaster on the boat of reality. A future in the wall picture.  Buttressed by untainted love. Patience beyond decades,  Experience adventurous than arcades. The messiah and killer, Beautifully skilled with anger. In the twinkle of an eyes, Her glory changed into a gory. The player of fate,  Destiny practically makes 'em late. A cheat became truth. A reality of multiple fruits. Broken and Bewailed. Like shards of mirror. In the beginning of her end, She's broken beyond repair. Olawale Abdulsalam

perfect picture In your silent appearance Where your beauty billows with exuberance.. Your hair dance to the command of breeze Delicate enough to make a tease Your eyes dangle with firmness Matching your confidence and prowess Beyond words and flattering, You're a mysterious reverie On your gracious noble face Where courage is worn like a mask... You're charming and revered Your beauty is naturally reserved On the portrait of your look, your angelic brows are perfectly cute You're a medicine for the heart A Sophisticated greater art Just like the morning sun Your skin glitters with calmness. Beyond art and a mere fiction You're captured in a perfect picture. *Olawale Abdulsalam*

Until you learn to speak your mind or opinion without being apologetic, you will remain the same.

LOG IN SIGN UP WELL-BEING WISDOM WONDER PURPOSE SPECIAL SECTIONS  COMMUNITY CORPORATE OFFERINGS  ABOUT THRIVE  WISDOM Say What You Think And Don’t Be Apologetic About It Be confident in your opinions. by   Darius Foroux       Have you ever stated your opinion only to be shot down by someone else? Maybe by your spouse, boss, parents, or best friend? Or even a stranger? It happened to me many times in the past. Growing up, I always had an opinion about everything. Having an opinion doesn’t mean you know everything. It just means you have something to say. You could be wrong. But often times, my teachers, friends, girlfriends, co-workers, and even friends would immediately say things like, “That’s not true!” So gradually, I gave up speaking my mind. I became afraid. Last week,  I published an article about why I avoid toxic people.  I mentioned that I think less than 1% of the population has...

Harsh untrue opinion from Dee Lee

*DON'T BLAME LIBYA, BLACKS WILL ALWAYS BE SLAVES* For those of us who heard it, this is the article Dee Lee was reading this morning on a New York radio station. For those who didn't hear it here is the full detail:                                    Dee Lee, CFP Harvard Financial Educators  THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE, GREED, and SELFISHNESS. Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment. A great man once said, "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book." We now live in the Information Age. They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they refuse to read. There are numerous books readily available at Borders, Bar...

Knowledge and wealth

*ON KNOWLEDGE* A learned and well known philosopher once replied to a group of ten learned men who said, *'We seek your permission for our asking a question from you.'* The philosopher replied, 'You are at perfect liberty.' They said, *'Of knowledge and wealth, which is better and why?*. Please give a separate answer to each. The learned philosopher answered in ten parts: 1. Knowledge is the legacy of the Prophets; wealth is the inheritance of the Pharaohs. Therefore, knowledge is better than wealth. 2. You are to guard your wealth but knowledge guards you. Therefore, knowledge is better. 3. A man of wealth has many enemies, while a man of knowledge has many friends. Hence, knowledge is better. 4. Knowledge is better because it increases with distribution, while wealth decreases by that act. 5. Knowledge is better because a learned man is apt to be generous while a wealthy person is apt to be miserly. 6. Knowledge is better because it cannot be s...

Legacy

Image
I am convinced about what legacy means aftern watching Oprah Winfrey talked about it.  Sometimes in life, we will walk and toil searching for fortune around but, eventually we will realized that, our effort is not enough to give us treasure. If you could recall the route to your pursuit, you must have done something worthwhile to engraved in your memory bank. Your legacy is practically the number of lives you touch. It is not the number of cars you acquired, it is not by your pile of academic degrees, it is not by the number of houses you built, it is not even, the number of years you lived. It can only be measured by the number of lives you touched.  Touch a life today. Make somebody smile today. Give a hand to somebody today. Invest in the favour bank and build a legacy.

The path

Image
The road to success is full of punctures, however hard it is, walk it and pluck your fortune from the tree of success. The path is uncertain, the next step is clear. Trust God.
